Judas Priest 2022 Tour Announcement – 50th Anniversary Tour Schedule

Judas Priest is continuing their 50th Anniversary tour in spring 2022! The heavy metal icons will kick off the trek on March 13th in Las Vegas, NV, and continue through April 13th in Hamilton, ON.

“And we’re back!! Priest rehearsals 2022!! Feels so good to be back after so much has happened,” guitarist Richie Faulkner wrote in a statement. “Having these US dates has really given me something to aim for as part of my recovery process, and the guitar, as always, has been my medicine throughout. It’s gonna be emotional to see all those faces out there once again next week, and I’m really looking forward to seeing you all.”

What recovery is Faulkner referring to? The 50th Anniversary Judas Priest tour was postponed for the second time, the first being due to the pandemic, in late 2021 when Faulkner needed emergency heart surgery. He’s spent the last few months regaining his health and is more ready than ever to return to the stage. At 42, Faulker is the youngest member of Judas Priest by a good bit, but he’s still ecstatic to celebrate a whopping half-century of heavy metal with his bandmates.

The English metal band emerged in 1969 and soon became underground icons. They may not have received as much mainstream press as their classic rock counterparts of the 1970s, like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, but their fanbase only continued to grow. Eighteen albums (many of them multiplatinum,) a Grammy, and countless accolades later, they’ve established themselves as one of the best heavy metal bands of all time. And this is what they’re hoping to celebrate with fans on the upcoming 50th Anniversary Judas Priest tour. 

Many of their biggest hits are featured on the setlist, including “One Shot at Glory,” “Lightning Strike,” “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’,” and “Freewheel Burning.” Ian Hill’s signature sky-high vocals sound better than ever when played live, and Faulkner’s health is getting better every day… so the guitar solos are going to be epic.
