I Prevail 2022 Tour Announcement – True Power Tour Schedule
I Prevail is currently on the “True Power tour” alongside Pierce the Veil, and it’s the ultimate post-hardcore concert for any rock fan. The next show takes place on October 4th in Montreal, QC, while they’ll make stops in Los Angeles, CA, Reno, NV, Nashville, TN, and more before concluding on November 27th in Lake Buena Vista, FL.
This I Prevail tour began in early September 2022, supporting the group’s third album, True Power, released the previous month. It marks their first record since 2019’s Trauma, which earned them two Grammy nominations and helped put them on the map in the metalcore scene. Do they have big shoes to fill? Yes. Are they filling them with the best breakdowns and screaming choruses that you can imagine? Also yes. True Power lives up to its name with top-charting singles like “Body Bag,” “Bad Things,” and “Self Destruction,” all of which sound even better from the stage than they do through your car stereo.
“I think coming out of Trauma, there was a side kind of pressure going into [True Power], just having the Grammy stuff and things like that floating around in the back of your mind,” says guitarist Steve Menoian, who has been with I Prevail since their formation in 2013. “But weirdly, for me, this was pretty much the most confident I felt making a record, even in how much the stakes had been raised and everything that we’ve got to try to live up to. Even through the ups and downs and how long it took us to make it, I always felt very … confident.”
Co-vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe concurs in the same interview with Billboard, stating that there was nowhere to go but up with True Power. “The last record, we pushed the boundaries and tried things we haven’t done before, and [we] were rewarded by how well it did, how well it connected with people,” he admitted, “Going into this record, we had the thought, ‘Why not do it further this time?” These songs are edgy and aggressive yet somehow more relatable and ready to rage than ever, and what more can you ask for in a post-hardcore concert?
Joined by emo royalty Pierce the Veil, you’re guaranteed quite the show on this I Prevail tour. It celebrates not only their new singles but also older tracks like “My Heart I Surrender,” “Bow Down,” “Rise Above It,” and more. As they enter their 10th anniversary as a band, they’re only getting bigger and better, and you simply need to see the metalcore heavyweights. Get your tickets to the I Prevail tour today!
