Gorillaz 2023 Tour Announcement – The Getaway Shows Tour Schedule
Gorillaz is coming to your nearby stadium with “The Getaway Shows!” Joined by Kaytranada, Lil Yachty, and Remi World, the virtual band will visit four cities on this trek. They’ll begin on September 10th in Los Angeles, CA, making stops in Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL, before concluding on the 19th in Boston, MA.

Most performers can only dream of playing in massive venues like BMO Stadium and Fenway Park. But it was a natural next step for Gorillaz, as Damon Albarn and his cartoon band are larger than life! Fresh off their stellar Coachella performances during both weekends, featuring special guest stars like Bad Bunny, Beck, and De La Soul, they’re ready to bring their unique brand of alternative rock to the stadiums. And they’re taking some fresh new tracks with them.
Gorillaz released their eighth album, Cracker Island, in February 2023, featuring new singles like “New Gold,” “Baby Queen,” and “Skinny Ape.” Channeling the alternative and electronic rock sound you know and love, sprinkled with a bit of synthpop, the project was loved by fans and critics alike! Clash gave an 8/10 review and stated that the album “packs one hell of a punch and spans genres far and wide.” Is there a more accurate assessment for Gorillaz? We didn’t think so.
The band has combined rock, art pop, electronica, and elements of hip-hop since their formation 25 years ago, and we love them for it.
