Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe 2023 Tour Announcement – The Stadium Tour Schedule
Are you ready for the ultimate 80s rock concert? Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe, and Alice Cooper are coming together for “The World Tour” in summer 2022, making six stops across the US. These rock heroes will begin on August 5th in Syracuse, NY, making stops in Columbus, OH, Fargo, ND, Omaha, NE, and Tulsa, OK, before concluding on the 18th in El Paso, TX.
This trek is a continuation of Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe’s rescheduled stadium tour, initially meant to kick off in 2020 before being rescheduled to 2022. They had a blast touring the world with Poison and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts this summer, but this time, they’re bringing Alice Cooper along for the ride. The three musicians all go way back, performing together in the 1980s with their all-black attire, electric guitars, and uncanny ability to put you in the mood to party. They may be a little older these days, but still rock harder than ever, and you’ll have a grand time on the Stadium tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Alice Cooper.
“To be in stadiums, you really need to pair up. We’re trying to turn these shows into a mini-festival,” Elliott told Rolling Stone about the original, pre-COVID trek back in 2019. “When you think about Joan Jett opening up the night, and then Poison going on, and then us and Mötley following them, it’s an event. It really is.” “And we’re all from the same genre,” he continued, “Most people that like that kind of thing saw us day after day on MTV in the Eighties. Our journeys have gone in different directions since then, but synchronicity pulls us back together once again. It’s a celebration of that whole kind of vibe.”
Each group has its own vibe that’s similar yet unique. Def Leppard is all about glam metal, with a “big hair, don’t care” mantra that fans went crazy for in the 1970s. Mötley Crüe falls into the same genre, with a bit more theatricality and makeup… while Alice Cooper incorporates all of the above.
