Death Grips 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Hang on to your seats because the Death Grips tour is almost here! The experimental hip-hop tour is returning for its first trek in years, which begins on May 16th in San Francisco, CA. They’ll stop in Tulsa, OK, New York, NY, Houston, TX, and more before concluding on October 13th in Fayetteville, AR.
Can you believe it’s been almost half a decade since Death Grips played the Afro-Punk Festival in 2019? Fans were ecstatic when they announced a new tour earlier this year, along with an appearance at the inaugural Sick New World music festival in Las Vegas. Wait, a hip-hop trio surrounded by some of the world’s best nu-metal and industrial rock bands? Believe it, because Death Grips is one of the best rap-rock hybrids around and put on one of their best performances in years at Sick New World. And the party only continues with their upcoming shows.
Blending rap-rock with industrial beats and electropunk feats., Death Grips has been impressing fans with their musical fusions since 2010. Described by The Los Angeles Times as creating “punk rock with a hip-hop facelift,” songs like “I’ve Seen Footage,” “Beware,” and “On GP” live rent-free in our minds. But it’s not just the innovative tracks that have made a name for Death Grips, but the powerful way they’re delivered. A Death Grips concert is known to be next-level chaotic in the best way, which you’ll see firsthand when they take the stage.
What can you expect on the upcoming Death Grips tour? No one night is the same, and we like it that way. However, a few things remain constant. From the moment they begin playing 2010s hits like “Guillotine,” “No Love,” and “System Blower,” the crowd forms a slow-motion mosh pit. Expect to be run at by strangers in every direction in a way that’s chaotic but colorful And 100% safe, trust us! While that’s happening in the crowd, Death Grip members MC Ride, Zach Hill, and Andy Morin will enhance the moment from the stage.
The trio sets off vibrant lasers, spits out flawless rap-rock verses, interweaves songs to create a super-catchy monster mashup, and so much more! It’s loud and definitely not for the faint of heart, but there’s no other group on the planet that puts on a show like Death Grips. And we’ve missed it so much over the past few years! They may even have a few new songs to debut, as they’ve announced that they’re currently working on the follow-up to their sixth and latest record, 2018’s Year of the Snitch.
