Darius Rucker 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Another Darius Rucker tour is happening in summer of 2022! The country megastar will kick off the mini-trek on June 6th in Nashville, TN, and conclude on September 10th in Camdenton, MO.
“There’s nothing better than a summer concert!” Rucker wrote on Instagram, and we agree. The Hootie & the Blowfish frontman is known for heating up the warmer months with his solo work, which is a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. In addition to his own headlining Darius Rucker tour, he’ll also be performing at music festivals like Rockin River Music Fest and SunFest Country Music Festival in August 2022.
While he’s been primarily known as a country singer throughout the 2000s, Rucker has dabbled in all genres. Hootie & the Blowfish has jazz and rock elements, while Rucker’s solo debut, 2002’s Back to Then, was more R&B and pop. The five records he’s released since have been more on the country side, along with recent singles like “My Masterpiece.”
It’s been five years since Rucker released an album, but he’s starting to debut a few new tunes. His latest single, “Same Beer Different Problem,” is an upbeat country track that tackles the world’s problems with lighthearted lyrics. He talks about “cars without drivers, traffic’s getting worse,” plus those who are “racin’ off to space, just to get away from Earth.” Many in the Nashville scene deal with their problems by sharing a beer with some friends, and ironically, this is exactly what Ruckus will do when he plays the new single on his summer 2022 tour.
“The line ‘a little bit funny, a lotta bit strange’ really sums up the message of this song and all of the things that make you shake your head these days,” Rucker said about “Same Beer Different Problem.” “We had so much fun as songwriters coming up with all of those examples and putting a lighthearted spin on the craziness of the world,”
