Coheed and Cambria 2022 Tour Announcement – The Great Destroyer Tour Schedule
Coheed and Cambria are the latest prog-rock heroes to announce a 2022 tour, embarking on a month-long trek early this year. The Great Destroyer tour begins on February 16th in Pioneertown, CA, and ends on March 19th in Harrisburg, PA.
A tiny bar in the Southern California desert may seem like an odd way to kick off this Coheed and Cambria tour, as they’ve played the country’s biggest stadiums over nearly thirty years. But the group is known for its unpredictability and elements of surprise, which you’ll see from the second you step into the pit at a Coheed and Cambria concert.
The band is fresh off its 2021 co-headlining tour with The Used and ready to make more live music memories with their fans! Singer Claudio Sanchez’s trademark long, bushy hair is as headbanging-friendly as ever, while you can sing along to classics like “Welcome Home,” “The Suffering,” and “Dark Side of Me.”
Despite not releasing an album since 2018, you can always expect a bit of surprise at a Coheed and Cambria concert. Will they bring out a special guest, play a song you haven’t heard in ages, or hint at new music? We hope that it’s all of the above.
The group has released nine studio albums in total, most of them a part of a sci-fi saga called The Amory Wars. We told you that Coheed and Cambria were unique, right? “The volume of fans’ chatter for [the follow up to the 2018 album Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures] are loading up the band’s social media pages,” the statement read. It neither confirmed nor denied that new music was in the works, but if there were any place to sample new songs… it would be the Great Destroyer tour.
