Coheed and Cambria 2022 Tour Announcement – A Window of the Waking Mind Tour Schedule
Coheed and Cambria are plotting the A Window of the Waking Mind tour, supported by Dance Gavin Dance, and it kicks off in March 2022. The prog-rock group will begin performing on the 11th in Fort Wayne, IN, with shows continuing through August 17th in Troutdale, OR.
They’re just wrapping up the last Coheed and Cambria tour, dubbed the “Great Destroyer” trek, but Claudio Sanchez and his bandmates are already thinking about new shows. The tenth Coheed and Cambria album, Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind, is released in May, continuing the band’s connection to The Amory Wars universe.
What is The Amory Wars, exactly? It’s a series of comic books and novels created by frontman Claudio Sanchez, which has a stellar connection to Coheed and Cambria albums. Each record tells a chapter of the saga that’s guided by the band’s emotional lyrics and trademark prog-rock riffs, and Vaxis – Act II: A Window of the Waking Mind is no exception. Fans are excited to hear the band’s first album since 2018’s Vaxis – Act I: The Unheavenly Creatures, especially when it’s accompanied by a months-long Coheed and Cambria tour.
They’ve already released a few new songs, including “The Liars Club,” “Shoulders,” and “Rise, Naianasha (Cut the Cord).” These singles have told their own story about what to expect from the record and Coheed and Cambria tour, while Sanchez has also offered his own take. He describes A Window of the Waking Mind as “about a couple on the run from tyrannical forces and their mysterious new addition,” which raises tons of questions that will (hopefully) be answered on the 2022 Coheed and Cambria tour.
From old favorites like “The Suffering” and “Dark Side of Me” to new songs from their first album in four years, you can expect a diverse and energy-driven live show each night on this Coheed and Cambria tour. Check the following dates and get your tickets to A Window of the Waking Mind tour today!
