Chvrches 2022 Tour Announcement – Screen Violence Tour Schedule
Chvrches has extended their Screen Violence tour through fall 2022, and there’s plenty of time to see the synth-pop heroes on stage. They’ll kick off this Chvrches tour on July 24th in Austin, TX, and continue through October 3rd in Boise, ID.
Named for the band’s fourth record, 2021’s Screen Violence, this Chvrches tour kicked off last year before being extended into 2022. There was plenty of demand for the incredible special effects, updated setlist, and unmatched energy, making a Chvrches concert a must-see experience. Fans danced along to new singles like “He Said She Said” and “Good Girls,” and the fun only continues with the remaining 2022 shows.
Chvrches is known for its upbeat, ultra-positive songs that give you an escape from reality. And don’t get us wrong, you’ll still get plenty of these things with the tracks from Screen Violence. However, fans couldn’t help but notice that the record is a bit darker than what you’re used to from Chvrches. The album title refers to violence “on screen, by screens, and through screens – with songs addressing feelings of loneliness, disillusionment, and fear, among other emotions.
The group’s new song, “How Not to Drown,” which features guest vocals from the Cure’s Robert Smith, is one of their most personal yet. Chvrches’ Martin Doherty has stated that he wrote it during a time of “crippling anxiety and depression,” which makes sense when you consider that Screen Violence was completed during the height of the pandemic in 2020. They aimed to create music that both resonated with fans and reminded them that they’re not alone and simultaneously helped them want to dance and forget their problems. And they seem to have accomplished both with their new record and Chvrches tour.
From the new songs on Screen Violence to older Chvrches songs from the past decade, like “Clearest Blue” and “Leave a Trace,” this trek will be one for the books. Get your tickets to the Chvrches tour today!
