Cheap Trick 2022 Residency – Las Vegas Performance Schedule
Cheap Trick has announced a series of concerts in 2022, including a mini Las Vegas residency! Catch the 70s rock icons from February 25th through March 5th in Sin City, with three other shows in April and September.
“We’re going to play sort of like what we had done before when we’ve played a full album, and then extra tracks,” Cheap Trick guitarist Rick Nielsen told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “We’re going to try to do that in Vegas. We can play the first album, the second album, third album, and fourth album over a four-night stand.”
The classic rock heroes have played Las Vegas countless times since forming nearly fifty years ago. Nielsen even recalled a time in 1977 when they played alongside Kansas… who refused to put their name on the show marquee. Five decades, twenty multiplatinum albums, and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later… they’re finally hosting their own residency at The Strat with the name “Cheap Trick” up in lights.
While fans are looking forward to hearing the “first, second, third, and fourth” albums, per Nielsen’s statement, on this Cheap Trick tour, there’s also a new record to celebrate. The group released In Another World in 2021, with singles like “Gimme Some Truth” and “The Summer Looks Good on You,” displaying the Cheap Trick amalgamation of classic rock and power pop.
