Gabriel Iglesias 2022 Tour Announcement – Back On Tour Schedule

Gabriel Iglesias is embarking on his Back On tour in 2022, taking the stage in dozens of cities! The comedian called “Fluffy” will begin performing on January 14th in Boise, ID, and make stops in Nashville, TN, Cincinnati, OH, Portland, OR, and more before wrapping up on September 24th in Honolulu, HI. 

A big tour is exactly what you can expect from a big personality like Gabriel Iglesias. The comedian has been known as one of the funniest guys around since the 1990s, first with his in-person shows and later becoming a regular on streaming services. You may have watched his humorous take as Tobias in the Magic Mike movies or his sitcom Mr. Iglesias on Netflix… but his live comedy shows take it to the next level. 

Iglesias will celebrate his streaming roots this May with arguably the most prominent stop on his Back On tour: a slot at the Netflix is a Joke festival in Dodger Stadium. He’ll be headlining and performing alongside many other funny icons, including Kevin Hart, Larry David, and Dave Chapelle, becoming the first-ever comedian to perform at the Los Angeles venue. As a Southern California native, this show hits close to home for the 45-year-old. 

“It means more than anything,” Iglesias said in December 2021. “The fact that it’s at home – this is the biggest show of my life, and it’s happening at home. If it goes well, awesome. If I bomb, then it’s a short drive.” Self-deprecating humor aside, fans of the funnyman know that Iglesias will be excellent at the Netflix is a joke festival – delivering the same hilarious, yet mildly wholesome, humor that he’s displayed for nearly twenty-five years. 

While he makes plenty of adults-only jokes, Iglesias has spoken about his need to make all audience members feel included. He thinks that the comedians who inspired him, like Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams, would be “canceled” if they performed today. He lets their performances serve as guidance rather than the gold standard for comedy. 

“I try to keep my show a certain way, so everybody can come out and enjoy it and have a good time and not feel like I’m attacking or being controversial, or divisive,” he told Savannah Now. He commonly jokes about his upbringing in various Los Angeles neighborhoods, his journey to comedy success, and the husky build that earned him the nickname “Fluffy,” and fans can’t get enough.
