Boz Scaggs 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
The groove is real with the one and only Boz Scaggs! The blues rock legend has announced a new set of shows, taking him to 18 cities across the US. He’ll kick off these Boz Scaggs concerts on May 11th in Nashua, NH, and continue through June 10th in Atlanta, GA.
Even if you haven’t heard of Boz Scaggs, we can guarantee that your parents, grandparents, and even jazz-loving, old-soul-having millennial friends love him! The man is an absolute legend, with five decades of jazz-rock hits under his belt, including “Lowdown,” “The Joker,” “Baby’s House,” “Heart of Mine,” and so much more. You know, the soulful classics that have lived on classic rock and jazz radio stations for half a century.
Of course, these tracks sound even better onstage. Boz Scaggs is still just as much the showman at age 78 as he was decades ago, and we love him for it. It’s not just his soulful voice and expert guitar strumming that has made him a staple of live music all these years, but also his band that’s stood by him since before most of us were born. These guys are some of the best musicians in the business that have made their way into some of the best 70s, 80s, and 90s hits of all time. And they bring an undeniable energy and sense of creativity to the stage that will blow your mind.
Let’s talk about Drew Zingg for a second. This dude has been playing guitar with Boz since the 1970s, and he’s a big reason why Scaggs’ sound is so unique. His guitar playing is soulful, funky, and just plain cool. Then there’s Steve Jordan, the drummer who has played with everybody from Eric Clapton to Beyonce. This guy is a beast on the drums, and he’s going to keep the rhythm pumping all night long.
While it’s been a minute since Scaggs released his nineteenth and latest album, 2018’s Out of the Blues; he’s more than content with becoming a touring act. He already has dozens of top-charting singles to choose from, and you’ll be swaying along to the best bluesy, jazzy, and classic-rock-inspired hits of the past half-century.
