Band Of Horses 2024 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Band Of Horses are slowing things down on an early 2024 tour! Starting January 29th in Richmond, VA, the indie-rock favorites will perform a set of acoustic and electronic songs for the soul. They’ll stop in cities like Port Chester, NY, Baltimore, MD, Nashville, TN, and more, they’ll conclude on February 18th in Kansas City, MO.
Band of Horses songs can be described many ways…with adjectives like introspective, sweeping, and powerful often topping the list. Trust us, one listen to indie and Southern rock essentials like “The Funeral” and “Is There A Ghost” will prove it! However, they’re taking a musically-diverse detour in 2024 that we’re equally excited about. And you will be too as they sort through a spectrum of electronically-charged, and slowed-down renditions of the best Band of Horses songs.
That’s right…this “Evening With” style tour will be less indie and more acoustic. Prepare to hear softer takes on classics like “The Great Salt Lake” and “Marry Song,” plus new songs from their sixth album, 2022’s Things Are Great. Which, by the way, certainly lives up to its name, as its provided a pretty solid year for the group! New singles like “Crutch,” “In Need of Repair,” and “Lights” have been major crowd-pleasers at recent Band of Horses concerts, and just wait until you hear them acoustic.
Pitchfork gave Things Are Great a grand review, stating that it “delivers on all the qualities that defined their initial success: soaring emotions, crunchy guitars, and Ben Bridwell’s cotton-candy whine.” Meanwhile, Mojo and Paste both referred to it as the best Band of Horses album in over a decade. It’s the ultimate compliment for the Southern-meets-indie rock darlings, who commemorate their 20th anniversary in 2024.
