Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin are gearing up plenty of guttural growls and good times! The two deathcore bands will embark on a co-headlining tour beginning October 13th in San Antonio, TX. With I Am and Peeling Flesh as support, they’ll make stops in 23 cities before concluding on November 9th in Seattle, WA.
After finishing up their annual Chaos & Carnage tour in spring 2023 with Dying Fetus, Suicide Silence knew they had to get back on the road right away. Sure, they’re allowed to have a summer break…but they’re the deathcore dream team that people flock to see all year round! Their bone-crushing breakdowns and spine-tingling screams have haunted heavy metal fans, in the best way, for over two decades now. And they’ll sound even more epic onstage with a little help from their friends in Chelsea Grin.
The two bands will take turns closing the show every night, and we can’t decide whether Suicide Silence should put on a finale of certified deathcore bangers, or bold new essentials. Then again, the Riverside, CA-based group served up both with the release of its seventh album, Remember…You Must Die, in March! The project features all the thrashing choruses and killer guitar solos you’ve loved since 2002, while still putting their musical growth on full display. Just ask Metal Injection, who gave a 8/10 review and praise that would make even the heaviest metal bands blush!
According to the publication, Remember…You Must Die “runs the feel of classic, chugging deathcore through a raw death metal de-filter, while avoiding for the most part returning to a holding pattern rather than using momentum to take off.” Where is the lie? New singles like “Capable of Violence (N.F.W.),” “Alter of Self,” and “You Must Die” are aggressive anthems that make you head bang harder than you ever have before. And when they throw old favorites, like “You Only Live Once” and “No Pity For A Coward,” into the ring, this Suicide Silence concert will turn into the ultimate rager.
Of course, their tour mates are pretty skilled at the art of moshing, too! Chelsea Grin has released not one but two new albums over the past year, 2022’s Suffer in Hell and Suffer in Heaven this March. Who else can’t wait to rage along to new songs like “Origin of Sin,” “The Isnis,” “Sing To The Grave” and “Fathomless Maw?” The Salt Lake City, UT, deathcore troupe have gone from the trenches of MySpace (the ultimate millennial throwback) to the big stage.
