Doja Cat 2023 Tour Announcement – The Scarlet Tour Schedule
Doja Cat has announced “The Scarlet Tour” for the fall of 2023! The A-list rapper will begin on October 31st in San Francisco, CA, making 24 stops before ending on December 13th. Doechii and Ice Spice will join as support.
Can you believe that this will be the first-ever headlining Doja Cat tour? She originally intended to perform in 2020 in support of her sophomore album, Hot Pink, which is now double platinum. But sadly, these dates were postponed due to the pandemic. She also had to cancel her support slot on The Weeknd’s critically-acclaimed “After Hours Til Dawn Tour” last year. Basically, Doja Cat hasn’t had the best luck with nationwide performance expeditions. But that’s all about to change with The Scarlet Tour.
It’s safe to say that Doja Cat is in her Attention era. And we’re not just talking about her 26 million Instagram followers or top-charting collaborations with A-list artists, but also her latest single! She debuted her new song, “Attention,” in June 2023, and she held nothing back on this 1990s hip-hop-inspired track. The cover art features the artist splattered in red while displaying an upside down “A,” a reference to The Scarlet Letter, while the “Attention” music video is an anthem about the perils of fame.
She raps about her controversial social media presence, past comments about her music, and frequent comparisons to other artists like Nicki Minaj. Doja Cat has bluntly referred to her past two records, 2019’s Hot Pink and 2021’s Planet Her, as “mediocre pop” and “cash grabs.” She’s also promised that her upcoming fourth album will focus more on hip-hop than pop, although she’s kept hush-hush on the release date or album title.
Doja Cat has been racking up accolades over the past few years, from singles like “Woman,” “Vegas,” and “Boss Bitch” topping the charts to winning a Grammy to owning the Met Gala. And it doesn’t hurt that she still has plenty of all-star collaborations under her belt. Remember “Baby I’m Jealous” with Bebe Rexha, “Best Friend” with Saweetie, and “34+35(Remix) with Ariana Grande and Megan Thee Stallion?
Tons of them will be on the setlist on The Scarlet Tour, and we’re also hoping for more brand-new tunes. Don’t miss your chance to see a Doja Cat concert up close, with tickets available now!
