The 1975 2023 Tour Announcement – Still…At Their Very Best Tour Schedule
Your favorite pop-rockers are back! The 1975 are heading on the “Still…At Their Very Best Tour in the fall of 2023. They’ll kick off on September 16th in Atlanta, GA, making 30+ stops before finishing on December 2nd in Seattle, WA.
A continuation of last year’s super-successful “At Their Very Best Tour,” The 1975 plan to live up to the hype with their latest and greatest hits. The British group is still celebrating their fifth album, 2022’s Being Funny in a Foreign Language, and to say it was a big deal would be an understatement. The project reached the Top 10 on the Billboard 200 and was named one of the best albums of the year by practically every music publication in existence!
But even without the love from Entertainment Weekly, Stereogum, and Variety, it was clear that these new songs were something special. Simply put, new singles like “Part of the Band,” “Happiness,” “I’m In Love With You,” and “All I Need to Hear” are The 1975 you know and love, except on steroids. These tracks are infectious, extravagant, dance-worthy, and elegant when they need to be. And you’ll be spending the entire night on your feet when you attend a The 1975 concert.
Whether you’re grooving, singing along, or anything in between, there’s no denying the power of one of the best pop-rock bands in the world. While it took a while for Matty Healy and Co. to release the follow-up to 2020’s Notes on a Conditional Form, it’s clear their latest record was well worth the wait. And according to Healy, it was actually one of their most casual recording processes yet!
The frontman stated that Being Funny in a Foreign Language has “less structure” and is “not even produced that much,” which may surprise fans a bit. Wait, what? Let him explain. “It came through like jamming. And we haven’t done that in like years,” Healey said in an Apple Music interview. “So we just wanted this record to be really like a captured moment and not be too constructed and even produced that much…. We did it in like a day or so.”
“And it’s us having fun. And I think that there’s this real desire in art to see something remarkable with as little technology as possible.” Having fun does seem to be the common theme when watching The 1975, whether jamming to new songs or older essentials. You know, like “It’s Not Living,” “Robbers,” “I Always Wanna Die,” and “Love It If We Made It!”
While Matty Healy has been in the news lately for his brief fling with Taylor Swift, he’s so much more than that. He’s also a charismatic frontman of a multiplatinum, Grammy-nominated, and very well-connected band…who can’t wait to make their way back to the States in 2023!
