blessthefall 2023 Tour Announcement – Hollow Bodies 10th Anniversary Tour Schedule
blessthefall is back for its first tour in years! The metalcore outfit is celebrating one decade of their fourth album, 2013’s Hollow Bodies. Joined by Caskets, Kingdom of Giants, and Dragged Under, they’ll begin on August 3rd in Santa Ana, CA, continuing through September 1st in Phoenix, AZ.
“Hollow Bodies was the album that took our band to the next level, and for that, we are forever grateful,” says blessthefall frontman Beau Bokan. “Being able to do a 10-year anniversary tour and play the record in its entirety will be incredibly special. It’s been four years since we played a live show and want to pick up right where we left off. We can’t wait to see your sweaty faces in the crowd!”
Spawning singles like “You Wear a Crown But You’re No King” and “Déjà Vu,” Hollow Bodies was a hit for fans and critics alike. The record reached No.15 on the Billboard 200, a record-setting moment for blessthefall! Furthermore, it contained fresh electronic music elements that helped the band reach a new audience outside of just the metalcore crowd.
People at blessthefall concerts began to not only mosh (AKA, hardcore dance) but move more flexibly along to their favorite songs. And it was an epic moment for not only Bokan but also his electronic music-loving wife, musician Lights! They’ll be playing Hollow Bodies in its entirety on this anniversary trek, along with more metalcore essentials since their formation in Phoenix, AZ, nearly two decades ago.
And believe it or not, this blessthefall tour announcement isn’t the only welcome surprise for longtime fans. The group also released a new single, “Wake the Dead,” which is their first new song in half a decade. Filled with scream vocals, rich visuals, and impressive high notes from Bokan, it’s the prototypical blessthefall song that the metalcore scene has been clamoring for, for years.
“To all the fans…we’ve seen you and heard you over the last five years, we’re back, and this one’s for you,” says Bokan in a statement. ‘Wake the Dead’ has all the elements that define our band. We took our time writing it but didn’t overthink. We wanted the first song to melt your faces from the beginning and drag you to the end without slowing down. We hope you love it as much as we do.”
Nostalgia meets newness on this blessthefall tour, which is destined to be the ultimate expedition for metalcore fans. Are you ready to scream along to songs like “Hollow Bodies,” “Open Water,” “Buried In These Walls,” and more for the first time in years? Get your tickets now.
