Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle 2023 Tour Announcement – US Comedy Tour Schedule
Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are extending their co-headlining comedy tour into 2023, taking the two legendary funnymen to nine US cities. They’ll begin on January 20th in Oklahoma City, OK, making stops in St. Louis, MO, Birmingham, AL, Charlotte, NC, and more before concluding on February 26th in Knoxville, TN.
Rock and Chappelle go way back, so fans weren’t exactly surprised when they decided to do a standup tour together in December 2022. Of course, people still called for more dates and the comedians happily obliged. They’re now taking their similarly-styled routines on the road for a new, and hopefully less bumpy, year… poking fun at the scandals they experienced in 2022 while showing off the flawless comedic timing that Chappelle and Rock have had since the 90s.
Last year started off a little awkwardly for Rock, who made national headlines when he was slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars in March. He laughed it off, but others didn’t find it so funny. He dealt with the unwanted attention by embarking on his solo Ego Death comedy tour, selling out venues each night as he demonstrated his trademark sense of humor. You know, the one that got him slapped. But Rock is a professional with four decades of comedy under his belt, and he’s going to prove it once again on this co-headlining trek.
As for Dave Chappelle? He caused a media frenzy when people didn’t take too kindly to his Saturday Night Live jokes, and was even attacked onstage at Netflix’s Life is a Joke festival. Yikes. However, just like Rock, he’s a comedy legend with extreme resilience and years’ worth of jokes under his belt, and he won’t let anything stop him from getting back onstage.
