MAX 2022 Tour Announcement – Colour Vision Tour Schedule
MAX is making his way to a city near you on his fall 2022 tour! The platinum artist will kick off on October 17th in Santa Ana, CA, and make stops in Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, and more before concluding on December 12th in St. Louis, MO.
This MAX tour continues to support his latest album, 2020’s Colour Vision. The poppy and prismatic record were precisely what we needed in the middle of quarantine, and everybody loved tracks like “Love Me Less,” “Acid Dreams,” and “Checklist.” This includes A-list guest vocalists like Quinn XCII and Suga of BTS, who were happy to join the fun that was MAX’s comeback record.
Okay, maybe it wasn’t a “comeback” album in the traditional sense, as MAX truly never went anywhere. He’s constantly in the news for his sweet vocals, celebrity friendships, and impeccable sense of style. However, Colour Vision did represent a new era for the 30-year-old singer. It marked his first new release in four years after 2016’s platinum-selling Hell’s Kitchen Angel and went in a noticeably more mainstream pop direction.
MAX’s previous record was described as adopting an “appreciation for the punk rock mentality” that pairs “his lithe tenor with an innate sense of soulful pop.” Meanwhile, Colour Vision is a colorful world of pop masterpieces that comes straight from the heart. The singer went through a challenging time several years ago when throat surgery left him unable to sing for four months, and he vowed to change his musical strategy as soon as he recovered. To the surprise of nobody, that’s exactly what he pulled off with Colour Vision.
“With this album, I fought to make sure there was an intro and outro and arc and a real theme throughout colour-wise with yellow,” MAX told PAPER in 2020. “And just making sure that it really was a full magical ride that a fan could dive into if they wanted to, and every piece was fleshed out.” He succeeded in his goals with his beautifully bubblegum beats and vivid stage attire.
