Gavin Degraw is embarking on the “Face the River tour” in late summer 2022, named for his seventh album. The pop-rock singer will kick off these Gavin DeGraw concerts on August 20th in Clearwater, FL, and continue through September 13th in Madison, WI.
“It feels so good to be hitting the road this August and September on the “Face The River” tour,” the artist wrote on the Gavin DeGraw Instagram page, “The excitement of a new album and adding new music to the shows amplifies the experience so much more.” He concluded, “ To watch people connect so strongly to this material, which is so personal to me, has made performing these songs one of the greatest joys of my life.”
The feeling is mutual for the fans, many of whom have jammed along to Gavin Degraw songs for nearly two decades. Casual listeners may remember his early 2000s hits like “Chariot” and “I Don’t Want to Be,” the second of which was the theme song to the popular teen drama, One Tree Hill. However, those who have followed him in the years since know that he’s never slowed down on making quality pop-rock hits.
His last full-length studio album, 2016’s Something Worth Saving, was an uplifting set of tracks that reached No. 35 on the Billboard 200. His new release, Face the River, has received great praise since its May 2022 release. It’s a deeply personal record, dealing with everything from the death of his parents and the devastation of society to his incredible affection for his dog.
