Taylor Tomlinson is ready to head out on the Deal With It tour this month, bringing her millennial wisdom and many jokes to a city near you. See the comedian beginning February 4th in Omaha, NE, with stops in Atlantic City, NJ, Salt Lake City, UT, New York, NY, and more before the trek ends on May 6th in Los Angeles, CA.
In March 2020, Tomlinson became a symbol of laughter and light in one of the darkest times. Her comedy special “Quarter Life Crisis” premiered on Netflix to critical acclaim, discussing the struggles of being a 20-something that was too old to party and too young to settle down. And this was before a global pandemic shut down the world. New York Times praised her millennial nuances and named Quarter Life Crisis as one of the best comedy specials of the year, while Tomlinson even held her own socially-distanced tour in six cities.
Now 28 years old, Tomlinson is ready to rise from the ashes of the pandemic and hold a proper tour. She may have received endless accolades over the past two years, including a spot on the Forbes 2021 class of 30 Under 30 and performances on all your favorite late-night talk shows. However, she still struggles with the issues she did in Quarter Life Crisis, among other things.
“This hour is definitely darker and more personal,” Tomlinson said in a statement. “‘Quarter Life Crisis’ was about being frustrated with where I’m at in life, and this new material is about taking a hard look at who I am and how I got that way,” She’s hardly the first comedian to make jokes about her upbringing but is quickly being compared to the likes of comedy legends like Dave Chapelle and Chelsea Handler. It’s not every day that a millennial woman gets her own Netflix comedy series, and now she’s taking center stage on the Taylor Tomlinson tour.
