Aoki has kept busy since live music made its return this summer, playing music festivals like Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Beyond Wonderland, and Summersesh. Aoki’s accomplishments are plentiful in 2021 – from becoming the first dance music artist to be inducted into the Asian Hall of Fame to celebrating the release of his sixth album, Neon Future IV. One of his most publicized achievements, however? His new tech-house alias, Ninja Attack, released the debut single, “Aurora’ in October 2021.
The YouTube comments surrounding this new Steve Aoki single say it all. One says that “Aurora” is “definitely an EPIC beat!.” Meanwhile, another states that the track is “very nicely done. Like staring into the abyss and wondering how kanji took over the number sequencing in the matrix.” Not a bad review for the Ninja Attack debut!
