Where to See Mary J. Blige in 2021
Mary J. Blige has two upcoming concerts, and we can’t wait to see the “Queen of Hip Hop Soul!” You can see Blige on November 18th in Brooklyn, NY, and on the 20th in Baltimore, MD.
Blige recently played her first show in nearly two years, a star-studded concert at New York City’s Apollo Theatre. Sponsored by YouTube, the October 2021 performance celebrated the announcement of the #YouTube Black Voices class of 2022. It featured Mary J. Blige as a headliner alongside Jazmine Sullivan and Yung Baby Tate.
It was a remarkable comeback show for Blige in many ways. This show marked her first post-pandemic performance, took place in her native New York City, and celebrated Black creators and empowerment the way she’s done her entire three-decade career. While she hasn’t announced a new full-length tour or album just yet, we’re crossing our fingers for 2022!
Mary J. Blige has released thirteen studio albums in the past 30 years, earning a reputation as an R&B and soul legend and serving as inspiration for artists worldwide. If her multiplatinum record and numerous Grammys weren’t enough, she’s incredibly proud of her status as a role model for Black women in hip-hop.
