WGCI Big Jam 2021 Lineup and Ticket Schedule
WGCI Big Jam is making its way back to Chicago, IL, and this music festival is the ultimate Christmas present for any hip-hop or R&B fan! See big names like Lil Durk, Lil Baby, City Girls, and Moneybagg Yo as they get together at the United Center on December 18th.
This show is being marketed as “Big Jam 2021: The Big Return,” as it’s been two years since the much-anticipated event visited Chicago. Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby stole the show at the 2019 event, supported by some of the biggest up-and-coming names in hip-hop! While fans were disappointed when the 2020 show was canceled due to the pandemic, it will be an even bigger jam this time around. Pun intended.
WGCI Big Jam caters to a younger demographic than many hip-hop festivals, with nearly all the performers being under 30 and a semi-regular presence on TikTok. But it’s not just Gen Z who will show up to see the two Lil’s (Durk and Baby) and their friends, but a large portion of Chicago who admires the show’s cultural ties and celebration of the hip-hop scene.
Chicago has produced some of the greatest rappers in the industry – including Kanye West, Lupe Fiasco, Chance the Rapper, and of course, Big Jam headliner Lil Durk. WGCI is paying tribute to the various hip-hop styles and scenes within the Windy City, which the locals have noticed.
“The Big Jam and Summer Jam offers a collective celebration of the arts, a way to escape the nuisances of daily life, and a chance to meet friends and make new ones,” Chicago Reader wrote in a March 2021 column. “They’re two of the most anticipated concerts every year—a staple for the city’s Black community.”
