Water is Life Music Festival 2022 Lineup and Ticket Schedule
There’s still time to get tickets for the Water is Life Music Festival! Hosted by Winona LaDuke, the 5th annual festival will feature a lineup of indie, folk, and country favorites. These include Ani DiFranco, Indigo Girls, Allison Russell, Tia Wood, and nearly a dozen more, all taking the stage on September 4th in Duluth, MN.
“This year, we are again honored to feature a fine assortment of artists who support the Indigenous communities of this state who face new threats,” says Winona LaDuke, “and the ongoing threats we all experience as climate rapidly alters due to the burning of fossil fuels.” Her organization, Honor the Earth, helps to fight various environmental threats, including the preservation of H2O. Particularly concerned with the at-risk waterways and Native American tribal lands in Minnesota, dozens of musicians are showing up to show their support.
In addition to big names like DiFranco and Indigo Girls, the lineup also includes plenty of Indigenous artists like Keith Secola, Annie Humphrey, and Corey Medina. The second annual Water is Life Festival is a chance to bring together artists of all levels and genres for a good cause, and fans can’t wait to show up! While last year’s inaugural event was admittedly a bit messy due to safety concerns and the uncertain rules of post-pandemic live music, the 2022 edition will be bigger and better than ever.
In addition to the exciting indie-folk lineup, there are also plenty more activities to enjoy at the Water is Life music festival. We’re talking about delicious food, art displays, a dance contest, and scenic views of the Minnesota landscape that remind you what you’re fighting for. Support a great cause as you dance along to your favorite why water preservation is so important.
