Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2022 Tour Announcement – The Ghosts of Christmas Eve Tour Schedule
Trans-Siberian Orchestra is continuing its holiday tradition with the “Ghosts of Christmas Eve Tour,” a seasonal rock opera that always puts you in the spirit. The first performance will occur on November 16th in Green Bay, WI, with 60 stops through December 30th in San Antonio, TX.
“I love all of Paul’s stories, but ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Eve’ is one of my favorites and can’t wait to unveil this incredibly amazing new show for everyone,” says the Trans-Siberian Orchestra music director and lead guitarist, Al Pitrelli. “We know some people may be having tough times, so we worked hard with the local promoters and arenas to have a low-priced $29 ticket to do our part in helping out,” he continued, “God Bless all of you and see you in November and December when we celebrate in person once again.”
Trans-Siberian Orchestra concerts are a long-lasting holiday tradition, and you’re likely familiar with their work whether you know it or not. They’ve put out progressive-metal versions of the best holiday hits, like “Carol of the Bells,” “What Child is This,” “Winter Palace,” and many more over 26 years and seven albums. They’re typically accompanied by all the fog beams, laser machine, and impeccable lighting that one could want, creating a holiday spectacle that never goes out of style.
Last year was their return to the holiday stage after a pandemic break, and they’ve made it clear that they’re going to be bigger, better, and more joyful than ever going forward. “It was so special to be back playing live last year,” Pitrelli says, “When you love something as much as we do and it’s taken away, it made us super thankful to be back. I look forward to seeing all our ‘repeat offenders’ and all our new friends when we hit the road.” While last year was the “Christmas Even and Other Stories tour,” named for their 1996 album, 2022 is a bit more spiritual, and we love them for it.
“A product of the imagination of TSO’s late founder Paul and his wife Desi, and based on TSO’s multi-platinum CD and TV special, ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Eve,’ the rock opera features such enduring fan-favorites,” says a press release about the upcoming holiday trek. “These include ‘Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,’ ‘O’ Come All Ye Faithful,’ ‘Good King Joy,’ ‘Christmas Canon,’ ‘Music Box Blues,’ ‘Promises To Keep,’ and ‘This Christmas Day.’”
While a metal version of these holiday classics wasn’t something anyone expected back in the 1990s, it’s become a holiday staple for fans all over the world. Whether you’re a returning fan or a first-timer, you’ll have a glorious time at these Christmas concerts from Trans-Siberian Orchestra! Get your tickets beginning September 16th.
