Third Eye Blind 2022 Tour Announcement – 25th Anniversary Tour Schedule

Third Eye Blind is continuing the 25th anniversary celebration of their self-titled debut, announcing a summer 2022 tour with Taking Back Sunday. The alt-rock icons will begin performing on June 22nd in Troutdale, OR, and visit dozens of cities before ending on August 13th in Irvine, CA.

“Twenty-five years of Third Eye Blind finds us feeling glorious as if everything is coming into deeper focus,” frontman Stephan Jenkins said in a statement. “It’s not lost on us that this is a miracle, and that we are in it because of the new fans that keep discovering us and the people who, over the years, have made our music part of their culture.”

Indeed, you could say that Third Eye Blind are post-grunge pioneers among the Warped Tour crowd. They’ve released seven hit albums since forming in 1993, including 2021’s Our Bande Apart, and inspired countless alt-rock artists including their headliners. This Third Eye Blind tour is coming just in time for the 2022 emo revival, due in large part to the upcoming When We Were Young Fest, and Taking Back Sunday and Hockey Dad are thrilled to be along for the ride.

“In the early days of Taking Back Sunday, Adam [Lazarra] and I used to drive around in his old Honda listening to Third Eye Blind’s second album, Blue; windows down, smoking cigarettes and singing along,” says Taking Back Sunday guitarist John Nolan. “If someone had told us back then that one day we’d tour together, it would’ve blown our minds. We’re so excited to be out with Third Eye Blind this summer, singing our songs and singing along with theirs.”

These singalongs will be plentiful with classic songs on the 2022 Third Eye Blind tour, including “Jumper,” “Semi-Charmed Life,” and “How’s It Going to Be.” Of course, they’re also celebrating the release of one of our favorite post-pandemic albums. 

Our Band Apart is a reference to the fact that Jenkins and his bandmates couldn’t tour, record, or assemble at all until lockdowns were lifted. Miraculously, alt-rock bangers like “To the Sea, “Box of Bones,” and “Again” were created by Zoom, and they’re celebrating their journey as a band by coming together once again on this Third Eye Blind tour.

25 years, 12 million albums sold, and millions of global fans later… you’ll be just as awed by this Third Eye Blind tour as you were back in 1993.
