The Head and The Heart 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

Sing along to sweet indie tunes by The Head and the Heart! The folk rock group are touring beginning on August 6th in Spokane, WA, including co-headlining dates with Father John Misty and Miya Folick. They’ll continue through November 18th in New Orleans, LA.

You’ll have plenty of chances to see a The Head and the Heart concert in 2023, and it’s the best thing ever. They’ve planned a performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO, plus slots at all your favorite music festivals! They’re still basking in the success of their fifth album, 2022’s Every Shade of Blue, which was a prized and pivotal milestone for The Head And The Heart.

Songs like “Tiebreaker,” “Virginia (Wind in the Night),” and the titular track detail the human experience from every point of view. They acknowledge the side of you that feels melancholy in our fast-paced world, while also serving as symbols of hope and faith. Frontman Jonathan Russell opened last year about The Head and The Heart’s most personal album yet. The project has helped them gain legions of new fans and endless praise from music publications!

“It does sort of feel like this umbrella effect of inadvertently sort of describing a spectrum of emotions from one symbolic image that feels almost like a mood ring,” Russell told American Songwriter. “The color blue to me can be like this vast, deep, almost intimidating emotion, or enveloping emotion. You think blue is like a beautiful spring day,” he says. “The color just sort of has the breadth of more than one mood or a situation or circumstance, in my opinion.” 

It’s true, as just like every emotion relates to a significant shade of blue… there’s a song on The Head and the Heart’s new album that matches your mood. Luckily, they’ll be playing them all at their upcoming shows, along with older favorites like “Rivers and Roads,” “Honeybee,” and “Another Story.” The band has had a major breakthrough over the past year and a half. But they’ll never forget the fans who got them to where they are!
