Get ready for “An Evening With” The Flaming Lips! The psychedelic rock band has announced seven intimate dates you can’t miss, beginning on February 28th in Vancouver, BC, and making stops in Stateline, NV, Las Vegas, NV, Del Mar, CA, and Anaheim, CA, before concluding on March 9th in Santa Barbara, CA. 

This is likely just the beginning of The Flaming Lips concerts in 2023, as the band has a lot to celebrate this year. Their anthem, “Do You Realize??” was just certified gold by the RIAA. They’re celebrating two decades of their 2002 album, Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots, with a re-release including B-sides, demos, radio sessions, and more! The Flaming Lips have been around for nearly forty years and have many hit albums and singles at their fingertips, which is basically the basis behind this “An Evening With” style tour. 

These shows will be two hours long and span their entire career, starting with their 1986 debut, Hear It Is, and continuing through their latest release, 2020’s American Head. There may even be some unreleased songs in the mix, as the Flaming Lips never fail to surprise their fans pleasantly. They’ve long been known for their distinctive psychedelic rock sound and an incredible live show that’s helped them top several lists of “Bands You Need to See Before You Die” (shoutout to Q Magazine).
