State Champs 2022 Tour Announcement – Kings of the New Age Tour Schedule
State Champs are embarking on the “Kings of the New Age tour” in fall 2022, bringing a few pop-punk friends. The group will kick off on November 11th in Cleveland, OH, and make stops in Brooklyn, NY, Salt Lake City, UT, Orlando, FL, and more before concluding on December 10th in Albany, NY.
“CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE.. Presenting the KINGS OF THE NEW AGE TOUR 2022,” the band wrote on the State Champs Instagram. “Featuring special guests @hunnytheband and @byamaus with @youngcultureny, @gamesweplay, and @savefacenj on select dates,” they continued, “We’re doing it up big this fall. You’re not going to want to miss this.” With that many pop-punk heroes in the lineup, you know it will be an epic night. Get ready to dance, sing, and mosh on the “Kings of the New Age tour.”
This State Champs tour is named for their recently-released fourth album, marking their first record in four years. New songs like “Outta My Head,” “Here to Stay,” and “Fake It” has held a permanent spot in fans’ summer 2022 Spotify playlists and now will carry through autumn as they make their live debut. If you needed convincing, the album reviews would speak for themselves.
“Offering shoutable lyrics, sun-drenched pop-punk riffs, and infectious melodies, State Champs are in full force on Kings of the New Age,” RedBrick wrote in their review, adding that it’s “one of their most energetic fun filled albums yet.” Kerrang! also gave excellent feedback, applauding State Champs for “establishing themselves as scene leaders,” and it’s very accurate.
They’re part of a new generation of emo, taking inspiration from the likes of millennial-friendly bands like All Time Low, The Starting Line, My Chemical Romance, and New Found Glory before them. State Champs have released one banger after another since 2010, particularly since their 2013 debut, The Finer Things. Tracks like “Elevated” and “Secrets” are perfectly pop punk, yes, but they stood out from every other band on the Warped Tour (RIP) main stage. These distinctions have helped them make their way into the hearts of Gen Z and onto the TikTok Explore page, and we definitely expect a few viral moments on the upcoming State Champs tour.
