Squeeze 2026 Tour Announcement – Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour Schedule
Squeeze are bringing a very specific kind of ’80s nostalgia back to North America in 2026 with the “Tried, Tested and Trixies Tour.” The run kicks off August 16 in Nashville and continues through September 27 in Detroit, with stops in New York, Boston, Toronto, Vancouver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and more. Adam Ant, Haircut 100, and Leon Tilbrook will join on select dates.
The name of the 2026 Squeeze tour? It’s been decades in the making. The band released Trixies earlier this year, giving the tour fresh album inspiration that still draws from the past. You see, these tracks were written even before releasing the first Squeeze album in 1978 — serving as a true passion project that just didn’t have enough juice yet (pun intended) to make it to the recording studio.
Half a century later, that’s changed dramatically. The group are new wave legends with legions of adoring fans — many of whom have begged for new music for nearly a decade after 2017’s The Knowledge. They were happy to obligate with Trixies, but with a twist. “The songs that we wrote then astound me,” says Squeeze co-founder Glenn Tilbrook.
“I’m proud of them now, and I’m particularly proud that it was young us that did that. These are very much the same songs that we wrote then,” he continued. “The only difference is that now I can teach the songs to the rest of the band. Back then, I didn’t even know what the names of the chords were!” These new songs — like “”What More Can I Say”, “Don’t Go Out in the Dark,” and “Good Riddance” — will be crowd pleasers on the 2026 Squeeze tour….
Along with Squeeze staples like “Up the Junction,” “Pulling Mussels,” and “Cool for Cats.” At the end of the day, Squeeze’s legacy really comes down to the songwriting. Since forming in London in the 1970s, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook have been compared to Lennon-McCartney for the way they pair character-driven lyrics with melodies that sneak up on you.
These dance-worthy tracks have established them one of the defining bands of British new wave, but their influence goes far beyond that scene. They’ve never been the flashiest act in the room… just one of the smartest. And you’ll see it up close and personal on the 2026 Squeeze tour. Get your verified resale tickets now!
