Sleep Token 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Sleep Token is touring this fall in support of their third and latest album, Take Me Back to Eden! The masked alternative metal band will kick off on September 10th in New York, NY, continuing through October 10th in Pomona, CA.
“This September and October, North America shall gather in Worship,” the band wrote on Instagram. It’s a vague but wildly inviting sentiment, as a sense of mystery is the central focus of Sleep Token. They take the stage each night in head-to-toe stage makeup and costumes, playing tracks like “Dark Signs,” “The Offering,” and “Alkaline” with the utmost anonymity.
Furthermore, you can add a slew of new songs to the setlist on the 2023 Sleep Token tour! The new album from the British group contains not just their trademark progressive metal but also elements of djent, pop, and R&B. Songs like “Granite,” “The Summoning,” “Vore,” and “Aqua Regia” will have you in a chokehold, as Gen Z would say. Oh, and did we mention that Take Me Back to Eden also has a song called “Chokehold?”
We may know next to nothing about the members of Sleep Token besides that they’re British and can belt out the best metal songs, but they sure know us. Since their formation in 2016, every record has been better than the last! They never box themselves into one genre, era, or identity, as their label, Spinefarm Records, has stated before. Compare them to Slipknot all you want, but the truth is that Sleep Token has accomplished what no band has before. They share the same masked attire and epic metal verses as the Iowa hard rock heavyweights, sure. But here’s the thing…everybody knows the identity and face of Corey Taylor and co underneath their masks. The same goes for other costumed groups like GWAR and Ghost, which will never be true with Sleep Token.
They’re not about rockstar life. On the contrary, the masked and hooded lead singer, Vessel, wants to maintain his anonymity while making the best metal hits! And performing them, that is.
