Boygenius 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Attention, indie rock lovers…Boygenius is coming to town! The supergroup is visiting 20+ cities in the summer of 2023, with a lineup of special guests along the way. They’ll kick off on June 2nd in San Diego, CA, continuing through August 5th in Morrison, CO.
Boygenius is often recognized as the side gig of Grammy-nominated indie-folk artist Phoebe Bridgers, but her bandmates are equally talented! When she joins forces with Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, the result is nothing short of iconic. It symbolizes female empowerment, catchy folk hits, and a cult following of fans all rolled into one. And you’ll see it all firsthand with tickets to the Boygenius tour.
It doesn’t hurt that they’ll have some fresh tunes to debut, as Boygenius just released their debut album, The Record! The project was a critical and commercial success, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and earning perfect reviews from music publications. New songs like “$20,” “Emily I’m Sorry,” “True Blue,” and “Not Strong Enough” deliver the indie-rock realness that Boygenius has emitted since 2018. Only in the form of a full-length album rather than an EP.
Rolling Stone wrote that Boygenius “transcends any kind of ‘supergroup’ cliché” by “recombining their individual styles into a different kind of chemistry for each song.” Additionally, NME gave a five-star review raving that Boygenius has created an “instant classic.” How so? Because all three members made the effort to “get to know each other artistically and collaboratively.” Phoebe Bridgers herself can attest to this!
Even as she plays solo at Coachella and opens up for Taylor Swift on the “Eras tour,” Bridgers has clarified that there’s no place like home. AKA, on the bus with her Boygenius bandmates. “I play to thousands of people a night, and sometimes I’m mentally in a really bad place,” she told Rolling Stone. “It’s so hard to relate to people. Except for those guys. Being with them makes it so much less dark.”
“We feel an element of home together,” she continued. “We’ve been talking about picking a TV show, and after every show, watching one episode before bed. Very children’s-book vibes,” added Dacus. “I’ll give them each a little kiss on the head and tuck them in.” After years of waiting for another Boygenius tour, plus the group’s debut album, fans have gotten both in 2023. And it’s an exciting time for not only longtime supporters but also the members of Boygenius!
They’re ecstatic to hit the road with their special guests in tow, including Clairo, Dijon, Carly Rae Jepsen, Broken Social Scene, and more. Will you be there? Get your Boygenius tickets now.
