Sammy Hagar and The Circle 2022 Tour Announcement – Crazy Times Tour Schedule
Sammy Hagar has announced the Crazy Times tour, a summer bash with his supergroup backing band, The Circle. Plus his longtime friend and fellow hard-rock hero George Thorogood, of course. The expedition begins on June 10th in Bridgeport, CT, and visits cities like Cincinnati, OJ, Salt Lake City, UT, Irvine, CA, and more before ending on September 18th in Irving, TX.
This Sammy Hagar and the Circle tour celebrates the group’s latest album, last year’s aptly-titled Lockdown 2020. It features covers from the Who, Bob Marley, AC/DC, and the band that made Haggar a glam metal legend, Van Halen! This record served as a retreat for rock fans everywhere when it was released in early 2021, and as we slowly put the pandemic behind us… you can’t miss the chance to headbang at the Sammy Hagar and the Circle tour.
The supergroup slowly but surely began performing again last year, doing a mini-residency in Las Vegas, NV, and embarking on a small “A Toast to Texas” trek around the Lone Star state. But fans were hungry for more of Hagar’s hard-rock hits in every city, which is how the Crazy Times tour came to be. Get ready to hear the biggest hits from Hagar’s five-decade career and many projects – including The Circle, Van Halen, and Chickenfoot.
Of course, the main focus is on Lockdown 2020. You can hear Hagar’s gritty vocals over songs like David Bowie’s “Heroes,” The Who’s “Won’t Get Fooled Again,” and Van Halen’s “Right Now.”
Hagar’s time as lead singer of Van Halen, from 1985 through 1996, was nothing short of legendary. It established him as the glam metal icon that he is today, with the now 74-year-old collecting endless hits and earning a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Several former members of Van Halen even play alongside Hagar in the Circle, and this tour is going to be a simultaneous tribute to the past and celebration of the present.
