Playboi Carti 2023 Tour Announcement – Antagonist Tour Schedule
Playboi Carti has announced the “Antagonist Tour” for the fall of 2023! Joined by Ken Carson, Destroy Lonely, and Homixide Gang, the A-list rapper will begin on September 6th in Denver, CO. He’ll make 28 stops before wrapping up on October 20th in Atlanta, GA.
While this marks the first headlining Playboi Carti tour in two years, the hip-hop hero has stayed plenty busy since 2021. He’s performed at major music festivals like Governor’s Ball, Rolling Loud, and Lyrical Lemonade, plus released a slew of top-charting collaborative singles. These include “Miss the Rage” with Trippie Redd,” “Our De$tiny” with A$AP Rocky, and “Popular” with Madonna and The Weeknd.
He’s also expected to release his third full-length, as yet untitled, album in 2023, which follows up 2020’s Whole Lotta Red. Since that album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B Hip-Hop Albums, he certainly has a lot to live up to. But if we’ve learned anything from Playboi Carti’s twelve-year career, it’s that he’s a hip-hop hero who constantly outdoes himself. And we have no doubts that this record will be one of the best of 2023.
Playboi Carti (born Jordan Carter) has been teasing the new record for a while, sharing previous names like Narcissist and Music before scrapping them. He also shared the album’s themes in an early 2022 interview with XXL, calling it a record about “Love. Sex. Drugs. Changes in my life.” “I’ve been rapping about going to rehab…I want this album to make everyone feel free,” he told the publication. “I hope this album brings peace to the world, honestly. I’m in love with what I’m doing. Like I told you, you can’t put a genre alternative on me.”
Well, Playboi Carti has been making people feel free for over a decade now with his catchy singles, like “Flatbed Freestyle,” “New Tank,” “Sky,” “Magnolia,” and “Punk Monk.” You’ll hear all these older favorites, and maybe even some new tunes, on the Antagonist Tour. And you can’t miss your chance to get Playboi Carti tickets for the following dates!
