The Tennessee-based alternative rock group will kick off on May 23rd in Charlotte, NC, and make stops in 25 cities before concluding on August 2nd in St. Paul, MN.
Fans were thrilled when the first Paramore tour in six years took off this past summer, along with a few slots at festivals like Austin City Limits and When We Were Young Fest. However, they had no idea that the best was yet to come. The group is releasing its sixth album; This is Why, in February 2023… which marks the first Paramore record in nearly six years and features the ultra-catchy titular track. Equal parts alternative rock and power pop, in true Paramore style, it’s an upbeat bop that will definitely make you want to dance at their upcoming shows.
While it’s been a minute since you heard from Paramore, they’re returning to the stage with a bang. In addition to their own headlining trek, they’re also opening for Taylor Swift on a few dates in spring 2023! Considering that frontwoman Hayley Williams and Swift became fast friends when they rose to mainstream success around the same time in 2008, this really is a full-circle moment. And Paramore can’t wait to celebrate their past, present, and future on the road with their biggest fans.
The group certainly deserved the career break after releasing their fifth album, 2017’s After Laughter. Frontwoman Hayley Williams released two solo albums, sang an acoustic cover of “Misery Business” with Billie Eilish at Coachella, and grew her Good Dye Young haircare line. Meanwhile, drummer Zac Farro and guitarist Taylor York worked on their own musical endeavors. But as it turned out, all three members had something majorly big up their sleeves. This is Why is destined to be one of the biggest albums yet for the emo heroes-turned-pop stars, and it’s the perfect time for your first, third, or even tenth Paramore concert!
