Muse and Evanescence 2023 Tour Announcement – Will of the People Tour Schedule
Muse has announced the “Will of the People tour” for spring 2023, joined by Evanescence for 22 dates across the US. The English alternative rock band will kick off on February 25th in Chicago, IL, making stops in Houston, TX, New York, NY, Los Angeles, CA, and more before concluding on April 20th in Salt Lake City, UT.
A Muse tour video announcement was recently posted on Instagram, featuring clips of the group performing their greatest hits like “Black Holes and Revelations” and “They Will Not Force Us.” These are fan-favorite songs that will undoubtedly make the setlist, but we also can’t forget the new ones off their latest album, Will of the People, after which this trek was named. Released in August 2022, their ninth album marks the first in four years from Matt Bellamy and his bandmates, but it’s safe to say that it was well worth the wait. Fans love the power behind new tracks like “Won’t Stand Down,” “Compliance,” and “Kill or Be Killed,” and can’t wait to hear them live for the first time on the 2023 Muse tour.
That is, it’s the first time for everybody except the lucky few who snagged tickets to the four very intimate Muse concerts that took place last year. They played in venues with a capacity of only a few thousand each! It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the Grammy-winning band that’s sold more than 30 million albums, but we promise you’ll have just as much of a blast in Madison Square Garden or Crypto.com Arena. The larger venues allow more space for Muse’s famously magnificent live shows — complete with all the light shows and galactic special effects you could expect from the celestial group.
As usual, space was a common theme in Will of the People, but this album was unlike anything they’ve ever done before… genre-hopping, deeply personal, and a modernized version of the Muse you know and love. Just ask the music critics! “As much as the context and subject matter, what’s grand here is that Muse remain masters of what they are doing,” says Kerrang! “Nine records in it are inevitable that anything they do will have a particular sheen, but creatively, in performance, and energy, they continue to operate on a plane all of their own,” they continued, “And in a world of uncertainty, that’s a very welcome thing.”
The world has returned to semi-normal since they started releasing new music in 2021, but Muse is a master of the unknown. They’ve taken listeners on a surreal journey with their new record, which only continues with the 2023 Muse tour. Get your tickets today!
