Morrissey 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Morrissey is hitting thirteen US cities in fall 2022! The famed English pop-rocker will kick off on November 11th in Ontario, CA, and make stops in Los Angeles, CA, Salt Lake City, UT, Milwaukee, WI, and more before concluding on December 4th in Boston, MA.
This Morrisey tour supports his upcoming fourteenth album, Bonfire of Teenagers, due for release later this year. He announced the title and tracklist on his website in 2020, cheekily stating that “the worst year of my life concludes with the best album of my life.” Featuring new singles like “I Am Veronica,” “Ha Ha Harlem,” “My Funeral,” and the titular track, the former frontman of The Smiths is showing that he’s still got “it” on this Morrissey tour. The good, the bad, and everything in between.
To say that Steven Patrick Morrissey has been a controversial figure over his nearly half-century career, both with The Smiths and as a solo artist, would be an understatement. He’s highly-opinionated and often sings about very dark subject matter, like anti-establishment policies and emotional isolation, with his distinctive baritone voice. But for every few people who are unsure about him, around a thousand more are obsessed. Morrissey is often referred to as one of the most influential artists of all time, and has garnered a cultlike following that can’t get enough of him as an indie pop-rock and pop culture icon.
At 63 years old, Morrissey continues to release one quality hit after another and take the stage with as much presence as he did decades ago. We’re still reeling from his previous effort, 2020’s I Am Not a Dog on a Chain and its singles, “Knockabout World” and “Bobby, Don’t You Think They Know?” Of course, Bonfire of Teenagers is going to be the absolute best, and you need to see the legendary English singer take the stage with hits old and new.
