Matt Maeson 2022 Tour Announcement – Never Had to Leave You Tour Schedule
Matt Maeson has announced the “Never Had to Leave You tour,” taking the 29-year-old rocker to the most prominent US cities. He’ll kick off the trek on July 7th in Tallahassee, FL, and continue through November 19th in Nashville, TN.
Matt Maeson tours have been consistent throughout his six-year career, and he loves playing his folk-rock tracks to his legions of fans. However, he’s upfront about his complicated relationship with life on the road, and his new single, “Blood Runs Red,” is about this very topic. “I’m losing count of the states, running for 43 days,” he sings in the first verse, continuing with “anything but an escape, I can’t keep up with the pace.”
“‘Blood Runs Red’ is a song about being a successful artist and the narcissistic tendencies that come along with it,” Maeson explains. “I toured for three years straight and received copious amounts of validation, but when that ends, and you go home, you’re left with yourself and who you’ve become while everyone else around you has remained the same.”
The “Cringe” singer indeed received plenty of praise. Critics loved his debut album, 2019’s Bank On the Funeral, while publications like Loudwire and Complex complimented his “sometimes metal, sometimes mellow” musical vibe. However, he’s tried to remain humble… and stays honest in every song, whether it follows an alternative rock or calming folk chorus. This new Matt Maeson tour is a new era for the singer, with a few never-before-heard singles to perform and plenty of questions to answer about his new album.
When is it coming? Will it lean more towards the metal or folk side? Will he be playing another from the new record on this Matt Maeson tour? All these questions will be answered with the “Never Had to Leave You tour,” with tickets available now!
