Kelsea Ballerini has announced the “Heartfirst tour” for fall 2022, visiting ten major cities in support of her upcoming fourth album, Subject to Change. The country-pop singer will kick off on September 24th in New York, NY, and make stops in Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, Los Angeles, CA, and more before concluding on October 14th in Mashantucket, CT.

“I’ve really missed you. let’s jump right back in together for these ten special nights,” Ballerini wrote on Instagram, with a yellow heart emoji that matches her carefree vibe. She’s in a new era of her career, with her latest album scheduled to arrive on September 23rd. “I will say the sound of this hypothetical record is definitely different than anything I have ever done. It is heavily influenced by — I would say ’90s music in general, but definitely ’90s female country,” Ballerini recently said in a TikTok Q&A about her upcoming album. She also expanded on the album’s themes, including risk-taking and eliminating the fear of the unknown.

“In my younger years, the idea of change scared me,” Ballerini said, “It had proven to be a faceless force that patterned my past with uncertainty.” “Only in the gift of growth have I learned that in the stark and constant juxtaposition of life, living happens,” she continued, “That when I unclench my fists, under my heels, and unravel the architecture built by youth, a true metamorphosis can happen.
