Kacey Musgraves 2026 Tour Announcement – Middle of Nowhere Tour Schedule
Kacey Musgraves is taking fans on a journey with the “Middle of Nowhere Tour,” a North American run that kicks off August 21 in Chicago and continues through cities like New York, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Toronto before wrapping in late October.
The 2026 Kacey Musgraves tour is named for Middle of Nowhere, her seventh album released on May 1 — and it marks plenty of milestones for the singer. She recorded this project after being single for the first time in years, ending her longstanding feud with Miranda Lambert, and making a much-awaited return to country music after a while in the pop world. And she’s not holding back on new singles like “Dry Spell,” “Loneliest Girl,” and the title track.
Nearly all of these tracks feature steel guitars, while she’s posing on the album cover in a cowboy hat next to a bull. Can you get more country music than that? It’s all very intentional and freeing, as Musgraves has shared in recent interviews. “I grew up singing Western swing, yodeling — very traditional country music,” she told NPR. “Those sounds are baked into what feels like home to me. And so exploring them doesn’t feel like I’m trying on a hat that doesn’t fit.”
It just feels like part of me. It’s always there to some degree, but it felt good this time to really lean into it,” she continued. “For me it’s always about finding the balance. If a lyric is going in that direction really hard, maybe the track isn’t, so it’s never too on the nose.” Don’t worry, though, as she’ll certainly still perform some of her more pop-inspired songs on the 2026 Kacey Musgraves tour.
