John Fogerty 2024 Tour Announcement – The Celebration Tour Schedule
John Fogerty is living in the moment on the “Celebration Tour” this summer! Supported by George Thorogood & The Destroyers and Hearty Har, the roots rocker will begin on June 2nd in Simpsonville, SC. This John Fogerty tour will make fifteen stops before wrapping up on August 26th in Denver, CO.
“George and I have done shows together before, but for years we’ve talked about doing a full tour together,” Fogerty said in a statement. “This summer we decided time is short, we better do this now.” While the two iconic rockers may be getting up there in age, with Fogerty now 78 and Thorogood 74, they still own the stage with more charisma than much younger artists. Each has a 50-year-catalog of hits that’s never gone out of style, and you’ll hear them all firsthand on the Celebration tour.
This John Fogerty tour will largely focus on his songs with Creedence Clearwater Revival, the beloved Southern rock group that he started back in the late 1960s. While he was technically only in the group for a few years, much of his legacy lies with chart-topping hits like “Fortunate Sun,” “Bad Moon Rising,” and “Who’ll Stop The Rain.” So much so, that he’s fought for decades to win the rights for these songs back, finally succeeding by acquiring majority ownership from Concord Records in 2023.
“The happiest way to look at it is, yeah, it isn’t everything,” Fogerty said about purchasing the Creedence Clearwater Revival catalog. “It’s not a 100% win for me, but it’s sure better than it was. I’m really kind of still in shock. I haven’t allowed my brain to really, actually, start feeling it yet.” That being said, it’s great news for his longtime fans, many of whom will hear these songs live for the first time in nearly half a century! Along with Fogerty’s personal tracks from his ten solo albums, starting with 1973’s The Blue Ridge Rangers and ending with 2020’s Fogerty’s Factory.
John Fogerty is an American icon in every way — known for his outspoken demeanor, country-blues-rock songs, and effortlessly cool vibes that make you want to sit down for a beer with him. He’ll be on his A-game with George Thorogood on the road this summer, and you’ll have the time of your life on the Celebration tour. Get John Fogerty tickets now!
