John Fogerty 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
John Fogerty is heading on a US tour this fall, and we can’t wait to see the Americana icon. Performances begin on September 24th in Napa, CA, and continue for roughly two months before ending on November 23rd in Orlando, FL. This includes a six-night residency at Wynn Las Vegas in October!
Fogerty is an American icon in the most literal sense. He’s never been afraid to get political and advocate for change through his music, both as a solo artist and former lead singer of Creedence Clearwater Revival. He often performs his rock hits in front of an American flag!
Hits like “Proud Mary,” “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” and “Centerfield” have been abundant over Fogerty’s sixty-year career, and the 76-year-old rocker will be playing them all on tour.
While he could not perform due to the pandemic, 2020 was still a big year for Fogerty. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee was vocal about the election, even challenging Trump over using the song “Fortunate Son” at his rallies, and released a powerful gospel hit that resonated with millions.
“Weeping in the Promised Land” is a blend of rock, country, and gospel that demonstrates Fogerty’s passion for change – discussing the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter, and Donald Trump. The critically acclaimed track was powered by the pandemic, along with the rocker’s tenth album, 2020’s Fogerty Factory.
This record features collaborations with Fogerty’s three youngest children – Shane, Tyler, and Kelsey. While a devastating time, the pandemic also helped many achieve clarity and discover what they hold the dearest. For Fogerty, he decided to combine his two favorite things: music and family.
