Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Jimmy Eat World has a series of concerts throughout October, joined by fellow emo icons Taking Back Sunday! You can next see the two groups on October 13 in Salt Lake City, UT, with the final US date on the 23rd in Irvine, CA.
After taking over a year off due to the pandemic, Jimmy Eat World has eased back into touring, playing festivals like Lollapalooza and Bottlerock Napa Valley. Now the pop-punk heroes are ready to play some headlining shows with old friends, and it’s going to be a “scene kid” reunion that rivals only the My Chemical Romance 2022 tour.

If you’ve ever attended an “Emo Nite” event, in which the clubs play all the best 2000s rock hits that millennials headbanged along to, you’ll know that both Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday are staples. “The Middle,” “A Praise Chorus,” and “Sweetness” are essentials from the headlining band, while Taking Back Sunday’s “Cute Without the ‘E’” is an anthem for former emo kids everywhere.
The two bands have been playing to packed crowds of eyeliner-wearing individuals since the 1990s and have no plans to slow down even as EDM and hip-hop dominate the charts. Alt-rock is very much alive, as you’ll see on this Jimmy Eat World tour.
The band will also have a chance to play songs from their tenth album, 2019’s Surviving. The pandemic meant that there was no Jimmy Eat World tour to support this record, and while a few virtual concerts were nice to tune into… there’s no more remarkable experience than live music in the flesh. Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday agree, which is why the old friends plan to put on a rock show this October, unlike any other.
