JID and Smino 2023 Tour Announcement – Luv is 4Ever Tour Schedule
JID and Smino are embarking on the co-headlining “Luv is 4Ever tour” in early 2023. The two rappers will kick off on January 22nd in Seattle, WA, with stops in San Diego, CA, Charlotte, NC, Detroit, MI, and more before concluding on March 29th in Nashville, TN.
This tour name is a combination of both rappers’ latest albums, and we love (or shall we say, Luv?) it. JID released The Forever Story earlier this year, while Smino will debut his third effort, Luv 4 Rent, in late October 2022. They both have new songs to perform onstage for the very first time, plus their previous collaborative singles. We’re talking about “Baguetti” and several tracks from the 2019 compilation album called Revenge of the Dreamers III. Will you be there to hear them battle it out in the best J.Cole covers like “1993”?
An appreciation and collaborative streak with J.Cole is just one thing that the two hip-hop heroes have in common. Spoiler alert: there are many more. Both rose to mainstream recognition in 2017 with their debut albums, The Never Story for JID and blkswn for Smino, and share a love-hate relationship that migrates from the studio to the stage. 2022 is a time of celebration as they enjoy the return of post-pandemic live music and their latest releases, and you can sing along with the two men as they perform both separately and together.
SMID recently posted a handwritten note to his fans, AKA SmiHive, on social media about the process for his upcoming album, which gave some insight into what we can expect on tour. “I Spent Alotta time becoming a better fren to myself.. I spent Alotta time searching for time I already had… I spent Alotta time tryna make this sh** perfect only to realize the only perfect things come from God and just being myself is perfect bc I come from God Himself,” he wrote. “I spent Alotta moments wondering if I even gave a fu*k about dropping Music bcuz in dis world…it seems like the talent isn’t appreciated as much as the “Challenge” or the moment.”
“Preciate err body who been rocking wimme thru the years… Thru the label change…its some real coo people looking after the music now,” he continued, “and I’m excited to show y’all how much I dun grown… D R O P T O B E R we tearing it down.” You heard the man; it’s Droptober. New music, new tour, everything! Get your tickets to see JID and Smino today.
