Jawbreaker 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Jawbreaker is getting the punk rock pack back together! The Bay Area rockers have announced a new US tour beginning September 3rd in Seattle, WA. Joined by Joyce Manor and Grumpster, they’ll continue for several weeks before wrapping up on the 25th in Orlando, FL.
These Jawbreaker concerts include several music festivals, kicking off with the Bumbershoot Festival alongside The Revivalists and AFI. They’ll also make an appearance at their very own 1234Fest in Denver with friends like Pussy Riot, Rise Against, and Rancid! If we learned anything from Jawbreaker’s killer performance at Sonic Temple back in May, it’s that the legendary punk rockers feel right at home at a music festival. But they’re also ready to own their own headlining shows.
Very few bands manage to still sell out shows after going years without releasing new music, let alone decades! That’s right, it’s been nearly 30 years since Jawbreaker came out with their last album, 1995’s Dear You, and they commemorated the anniversary with a 2022 tour last year. Thousands of fans showed up to hear their heavily distinguishable, effortlessly punk rock riffs on songs like “Fireman,” “Accident Prone,” and “Chemistry.” And it was an incredible night all for involved.
You see, Jawbreaker put emo music on the map even before the likes of My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. Publications like Kerrang!, LA Weekly, and Rolling Stone have named Dear You as one of the greatest emo albums of all time. Meanwhile, some of your favorite modern bands have covered Jawbreaker essentials!
