Jamey Johnson 2021 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Jamey Johnson is bringing his unique brand of outlaw country across the US, with a nearly 30-date tour that kicks off in summer 2021. Shows begin on August 7th in Petros, TN, and make their way to many states before ending on December 17th in Tallahassee, FL.
Johnson’s concerts have become the central focus of his career, packing venues in spite of the fact that he has not released an original album since 2010. That’s right, eleven years. What makes his fans keep coming back for more? A distinctive setlist that pays tribute to outlaw country while also featuring musical covers and Johnson’s signature charisma while performing.
“My shows vary. I’ll do whatever comes to mind at a show, whether it’s something new or some cover. It’s almost like that little two-hour session on the stage has taken the place of making a record for me because every night it’s a record,” Johnson told Rolling Stone in May 2021.
“It’s a new set; it’s a new bundle of songs. We don’t do the same stuff in Virginia that we do in North Carolina or the same stuff we do in Georgia or Alabama. By the time I get to California, we’re practically a rock band.”
It’s safe to say that Johnson is comfortable with being called a “touring act.” In fact, he thrives on it. His fall performances will certainly feature country hits from the 2000s albums that made him famous, like “The Dollar” and “The Guitar Song,” but what covers will he play?
