Hank Williams Jr. 2023 Tour Announcement
Hank Williams Jr. has unveiled his summer 2023 tour dates, and it’s a great time to see the outlaw country singer! He’ll kick off on May 12th in Tuscaloosa, AL, making stops in Orange Beach, AL, Noblesville, IN, Irvine, CA, and more before concluding on August 26th in Gilford, NH.
While Williams Jr. tours less and less with each passing year, he’ll always find time to hit the road for a few months…especially when he has a new album to support! He released his 54th (yes, really!) album, Rich White Honky Blues, in summer 2022, a solid mix of blues, outlaw, and rock covers that remind you why he’s musical royalty. His late father, Hank Williams, was certainly a honky tonk hero, but the younger singer has certainly proven himself as an icon in his own right. And you’ll see it all up close on this Hank Williams Jr. tour.
You can expect to hear his greatest hits like “A Country Boy Can Survive,” “Whiskey Bent and Hell Bound,” “Family Tradition” and more, all with Williams Jr. behind the guitar…or bass, or fiddle, or harmonica. He’s a multi-instrumentalist with a talent for every tool and a voice that’s gone down in history (he was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2021). He has plenty of original songs and covers to occupy the setlist on his upcoming trek, do you have any in mind that you’d like to hear?
Another notable anthem that comes to mind is “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming over Tonight,” which was used as a tune for the National Football League for years. Of course, Williams Jr. was never fully credited for supplying the football theme, which he has no problem speaking up about. “Thirty-two years, three Emmy awards, eight Super Bowls, and I’m the one that wrote the f**king song!” he bluntly told the crowd at a concert last year. Was he playfully joking, or actually seeking the proper credit for his sports song? People never know with Hank Williams Jr., as his sarcastic personality has become as much his trademark as his honky-tonk hits, and we’re here for it.
It’s not every day that a Hank Williams Jr. tour rolls into town, so you don’t want to miss your chance to see the outlaw country music legend! Get your tickets now.
