Gogol Bordello 2022 Tour Announcement – Solidaritine Tour Schedule
Gogol Bordello has announced the Solidaritine tour for May 2022, which directly supports frontman Eugene Hütz’s home of Ukraine. The trek will begin on the 4th in Boston, MA, and visit 15 major cities before the final performance on the 21st in Nashville, TN.
We’re going on tour to spread the message of freedom for Ukraine. Every show of the upcoming ‘Solidaritine’ tour will be dedicated to the brave Ukrainian defenders,” the Gypsy punk rock band said in a statement. “And a significant portion of proceeds will go to Ukraine’s battle for democracy. We will also partner with human rights organizations providing relief in Ukraine throughout the tour.”
Hütz has been open about his Ukrainian pride throughout his entire 23-year tenure in Gogol Bordello, and he’s stepping up for his home in incredible ways. The band hosted a benefit concert in New York City in March 2022, featuring performances from Patti Smith, Matisyahu, Craig Finn, Jesse Malin, and many more as they helped raise money for Ukraine. It was a grand gesture, but Gogol Bordello is not even close to being finished with their philanthropy.
Fans can jam along to the band’s Romani punk rock hits while showing their support for the people of Ukraine, making the Solidaritine tour a must-see event for 2022. The Manhattan-bred band will likely play songs from all eight albums, the most recent being 2017’s Seekers and Finders. Since it’s been five years, will they have a few new songs to debut?
