Ghost and Volbeat 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Ghost has announced a co-headlining tour with Volbeat, joined by Twin Temple in 26 US cities. The trek begins on January 25th in Reno, NV, and continues through March 3rd in Anaheim, CA.
This Ghost tour is a godly mix of heavy metal tunes and shock rock vibes. While many hard rock bands like Slipknot and Motionless in White develop spiritual personas, this Swedish rock band takes it to the next level. Have you ever seen vocalist Tobias Forge taking on the persona of Papa Emeritus while “A Group of Nameless Souls” support him on guitar, bass, and drums?
It’s a religious experience like you’ve never seen before, and one of the main reasons you need tickets to the 2022 Ghost tour. The band’s persona mimics the Roman Catholic Church, complete with a cathedral-esque stage design, while you’re left to wonder if Ghost is Sweden’s version of Slipknot. The answer is maybe, and also not at all.
The members of Ghost are Grammy winners who have released breathtaking hard-rock hits for over a decade, just like Slipknot, and it’s difficult not to notice the masks and love of moshing. They’ve also been compared to Judas Priest and Black Sabbath. However, there is no other band quite like Ghost.
Everything they do with their music and personas has a purpose, and they’ve demonstrated this fact with all four Ghost albums. Songs like “Square Hammer,” “Mary on a Cross,” “Dance Macabre,” and “Rats” make fans want to headbang in the most unholy way, even if their Satanic lyrics have caused riffs in the more conservative locations.
Despite an unclear release date, the band has said that they’re currently working on their as-yet-untitled fifth album. Can we expect to hear a few new songs on the upcoming Ghost tour? We can only hope! Get ready for a religious experience unlike any other with one of the most anticipated metal tours of 2022, soon playing in the following cities!
